Electrohydraulic Power Steering

The electrohydraulic power steering builds on the familiar hydraulic power steering system. The main difference between the two is the drive for the hydraulic pump that generates the pressure required for power assistance. In the case of the electrohydraulic power steering, this pump is driven by an electric motor whose operation is matched to the level of power assistance required.

The electrohydraulic power steering helps to save fuel by only consuming energy as and when necessary.
