Auxiliary Heating/Ventilation

Auxiliary heating preheats the interior, ensuring clear windows in the winter. On hot days, the auxiliary heating works as an auxiliary ventilation system, blowing fresh air into the vehicle while it is parked.

The start time and duration of the heating phase can be conveniently preset in the instrument cluster with the aid of the stalk on the steering column. In addition to the timer function, the auxiliary heating can also be switched on with the “immediate heating” button on the air conditioning or with the radio remote control (range up to 600 metres).

The preset value in the instrument cluster determines whether the vehicle interior needs to be heated, or ventilated at warmer outside temperatures. All year round, the auxiliary heating system provides for a pleasant climate in the car even before the journey has started.
